Healing group

About a month ago, Andrea from the Trisomy 18 Foundation support family made a great suggestion.  In her own words:

"I was just sitting here, trying to picture what each of you who have written and shared yourselves with me, look like?  I was thinking that we should try to figure out if we can have a SGE face to face healing meeting?  A non-denominational, yet spiritually and emotionally healing meeting where we can see each other, and hear each other's stories... With love, Andrea"

Well, a month has passed and although there has been lots of positive feedback on Andrea's idea, it seems that we mommies are not so technologically savvy!!!  Oh well!  Today I saw another comment from Cindy, a new member of our T18 SGE community, and I thought - let's try something at least!

And so here is the blog where any of us with the password can log on and include our stories, thoughts and photos.  It's a community healing and sharing blog.  Let's see how it goes.

Hugs,
Christena

ps - incidentally, I'm including a picture of me from a couple of years back on a hiking trip...

This site can help all of us heal. When I first went to a bereavement group, and sat face to face with such loving and hurting parents who SGE, I started to have compassion for THEM. Soon after I started to wonder why I didn't include myself in the compassion loop. I felt guilty and devestated for my choice. Although no choice I could have made would have been "right". T18 is such a no-win, but finding the support with all of the members of the T-18 website more than helps. It has been as necessary for me picking up the pieces of my life as drinking water is. I feel blessed to have had the support of so many. Thank you so much Christena for taking my suggestion and turning it into reality. I still hope to meet you and many others face to face one day. But, until then, it's so nice to see you!
With love to all that read this,
Andrea
